After listening to the news! The largest Retail store The Hyperstar completes their construction work and inaugurated their mart for acquiring huge business in the Heart of Pakistan*, Indeed I am really glad and with immediate response I shared this news among my friends, colleagues, and with my classmates. As a Business Administration student and a nationalist  it‘s a great news for myself and for my fellows as many among us wants to be a Entrepreneur- fed up off job and  not getting desired salaries.

One of the view suddenly coming in my mind is if huge investments are coming here in Pakistan even the situation is called us a chaotic one from decades, with so many of the crisis following us mainly in energy sector giants of the world market are taking keen interests still it clearly means the situation is not that chaotic as it is stated generally.

If they can do big things, we can do small things too…..

The investment behind the Hyperstar is a joint venture between the world second largest retail business French operator Carrefour and Dubai based Abdul Majid al-Futtaim group.

The investment from the Dubai based company is not new in Pakistan but the response of French company due to the potential in the retail market of Pakistan is really remarkable. The one of the kinds of expandable investment in Karachi as one of the stores of this chain is already started two-year back in Lahore.

The company has already invested $25 million for their Lahore store and $15 million for Karachi.  The  existence of calamity and risk of losing the investment due to the law and order situation here in Pakistan  stopped so many investment before, but  this time giants  can’t resist to invest their.

The investment in the past in the retail sector MAKRO and German company METRO Cash and Carry getting a great turn over from the market also expanding business in the major cities of Pakistan. The act of the foreign investors mainly from Germany, France and U.A.E Encourage investors to be in the ground that there is too much for the businessman.

The Pakistani retail market estimated $42 Billion and rapidly growing viewed as an attractive opportunity for foreign investors. The another important prospect of the market is the huge volume of  young generation  in the Pakistani Market youth  wants to see new and quality products and definitely consume up to their  most capacity.  The consumer behaviour and demographic having vital importance to drive the market in that context Pakistan is the precise choice of the Investors.

Hyperstar Karachi spread over 100,000 plus square feet in Dolmen Mall Clifton and display 30,000 products which is the evidence of huge investment in the economy as well opening new job opportunities.

The Hyperstar extracted around Rs 1 Billion in the starting year of the Lahore Branch and in the recent year its reached upto Rs 3 Billion. This kind of the response really intends them to do something big in the Karachi. In their strategic plan they want to expand the branch network in Lahore with three more stores and three stores in Karachi, In Karachi one spot is at Lucky One Mall near UBL sports complex the opening of the branch as stated by the official of Hyperstar is linked to the construction work and other formalities to start the new spot.

The example of the local investments Engro Foods which is also segmenting the market of FMCG in foreign countries is a vital step to give ease to more local investors as well as foreign investors that there is too much for all.

So far it is about second  world largest retail leader but when analyst expand their approach to the world largest retail giant The Wal-Mart the spokesman of the Wal-Mart get defensive and focus on silence.

What the silence is for! Is just to take some time to find the best potential in the market, the spokesperson of the Wal-Mart while comparing the retail market and rule regulations of investment in the country comparing it with neighbour India, stated Pakistan on an upper edge.

The plan they have “We want to concentrate our recent investments and look for the markets where customer wants to see us and we will grow up” the statement by the Megan Murphy spokesperson of Wal-Mart.

Pakistani Market comprises of different classes Lower, Medium and Upper generally categories in three state have huge potential if it is segmented well what we generally know about our market atmosphere everything** here can be sold easily.

It’s great news for the Pakistan’s regime perspective after the big bids in the past for cellular license by the cellular companies, it’s very pleasant to  see such real scenarios that the emerging retail market here in Pakistan attract  enormous investments around the world from Europe to Gulf  the demand of the situation is to flourish the market, infrastructure and supply chain process from the rural area to  get distinctive advantage  from the neighbouring countries to magnetize the giant players of the Entrepreneur market to come out in  fields to play and perk up the standards of our people.

A Good Thought In The Energy Crisis- We All Wish And Pray Till It Becomes Reality!

The former city of lights, sorry to say it is not now lightened  that much  is worst affected  by the energy crisis so many plans have made  for the improvement  but almost every plan go in vain.

I receive a newletter type email this month from Karachi Electric Supply Company  briefed about  their future strategy to overcome the energy crisis, as summer is not so far and all we believe is worst shut downs rather call them load shedding  as it is there  for short span out of 24 hours.

Karachi Electricity Supply Company announced a project of generating electricity from animal wastage  in the last year 2011 at this time it was just a news.

I am hopeful and glad to write this that they are very much  interested in executing this green energy project world largest of  its kind if it starts generating electricity the name of Pakistan  will be  highlighted on  the globe. The venue for the project is semi-rural  Landhi Cattle  Colony in Karachi. This plant is likely to have the potential of generating up to 22 MW of electricity fueled from biogas alone.

The Landhi Biogas project in Karachi will not only generate up to 22MW of green power but will also be producing up to 300 tons/day (tpd) of organic fertilizer as a meaningful byproduct. This organic fertiliser has special application in place of eroded soil which has lost it’s utility and where standard urea fertilizer won’t be effective. In addition to the above, this eco-friendly energy unit will also earn a significant amount of carbon credits, thereby making this Project economically feasible.

The project is also though provoking that it will help Karachi Dairy Farmers Association  to placed the wastage in an almost organized  way as it’s not essential for the people leaving there  and a cause of different diseased for the locality. The memorandum signed with Karachi Dairy Farmers Association in December last year, the association offer 3500 to 4000 tons of cattle waste on daily basis to KESC to be used as raw material  to produce Bio gas  used as fuel for the plant for generating electricity.

The project at this moment is seems to be very blessing for  the Karachi people and for the locality of Landhi  in terms of  health problems.

The first phase of the project  was completed in last year 2011, KESC has also signed an agreement with biogas technology providers M/s Highmark Renewables (HRR Canada) for onsite technical studies (Phase I) leading to project plant design, which now stand completed.

Currently, KESC is moving into the Phase II of the project. This phase entails activities which include land development, and developing, waste collection mechanisms, Gold standard carbon credits, formation of strategic partnerships and financial close.

In the files it looks awesome  I wish and pray that any political factor, economic factor or animal rights factor doesn’t come as a hurdle, animal rights is quite annoying but here in our country any thing happens, with the positive frame of mind the project looks very possible and sustainable that the fuel its going to be used is not abundant in nature like gas and other lubricants in our country it’s an emerging step to overcome the crisis and uses the very renewable energy source to avoid the distress of the Karachi citizens and if it end up well then it can  be start in other part of the country.

People Who Cares About the INTEGRITY of the SOIL – A TRIBUTE

By the grace of Allah Almighty -Team Pakistan is on the quest of the dream to clean sweep

English Team in the outside arena which never said to be biased for any side by International critics of the game. On 28 January 2012 Team Pakistan won the match against English team which were totally dominated by visitors to the desert. The visitors were dominated in three days of the test and on the fourth day the magic works and Team Pakistan won the battle which was not just the game for the nation better to say it’s an answer to the English media more than a match to win against English team. The biased media which seem to be work likes an aid for the English Team (before defeat works like a mother who pampered the kids). They called us traitor, rebellion etc..

The tour starts with the different statement of the English players in which they want to get an edge through the psychological approach.

After this it is not the cricket match it’s war of integrity of the soil and as a nation we are very proud of  Team Pakistan which shows great courage even reached in the stage of deficit  in three days but they didn’t  sat back didn’t  laid the nation down.

The purpose of this spot light is to tribute those who care about the mother (Pakistan) and the integrity of the motherland which was buried in the last tour to English soil. Piles of controversies, criticism, blames and much more- every son of the soil is humiliated and its hard to defend the innocent ones .

In real few among us are responsible of this what happens with  the nation  in last year’s and  after this blessed event best thing  for  all of us is to forget the night mares of the past.

The fair battle played against English team and they accept the defeat, according to the statement by different players and officials of the visiting team in which significant statement by English Coach Andy  Flower that we were fairly defeated by Team Pakistan.

My perception – I am not explicitly marking anybody in this tribute to the son’s of soil as I perceive them as an entity. In general everyone played his part  and we got the result in terms of heavy margin win.

In real, very few among us are those who care about the mother, The integrity is very important if lost it will never be retain as first as being a Pakistani we are suffering…. by the worst acts of some people we must condemned those black sheep’s.

To start marking the culprits from the time of  birth of this country is somehow useless, the worthy is to take care from now onwards  and make it  sustainable it can be only if

Normal To Star is uniformly accountable.  Remember Mother (Pakistan) can birth big names even bigger than yesterday and today  but we can’t afford to disgrace the mother as I perceive the integrity of the mother come first  and I pray will remain till last….. Names doesn’t matter what matter is the place which nurture all of us with the delicacy and determination which we  can’t imagine as we are too small to feel such things  after our birth. As mother never sat back to nurture us Why don’t we stay back …

May  Allah give us guidance to think so…
